Job Overview

Our client in NYC has an excellent opportunity for a Desktop Support Technician!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide C-Level support for AV setup, email issues, mobile device setup, etc.
  • Configure and prepare Windows Desktops / Laptops and Mac Desktops / Laptops as per standard procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and support Windows and Mac related day-to-day end user issues.
  • Troubleshoot and provide remote support to WFH users for VPN/MS Teams/Zoom and related issues.
  • Troubleshoot any wireless connectivity issues for employees and guests.
  • Install Office 2010 /2016 / 365 / Adobe Creative Cloud / any custom software as per standard procedures.
  • Install Cisco VoIP phones in the offices and configure cell phones.
  • Troubleshoot issues on printers (Hp, Brother, Ricoh, Epson, Canon) and open a service ticket with vendor when needed.
  • Help team and provide remote support for desktop / email / printing issues.
  • Manage computer networks with Symantec Antivirus endpoint protection suite. Troubleshoot any virus issues and do the routine cleanup to maintain client machines.
  • Perform employee moves within the office based on requests from HR dept.
  • Liaise with other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Be available for after-hours support and on-call support on a rotating schedule.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of proven hands-on desktop support experience and technician experience.
  • Basic understanding of AD, DNS, DHCP, wireless, audio-video system.
  • Office 365.
  • Very good communication and multi-tasking skills to handle multiple requests at the same time.
  • Highly self-motivated, responsible, able to work effectively under stress and deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with IT team members and end users.
  • Highly professional and be able to communicate with technical and non-technical audience, as well as top management of the company.
  • Position will require lifting PCs and Mac machines when moving users to different locations in the office.
