Our client in NYC has an excellent opportunity for a LAN / WAN Infrastructure System Engineer.

Job Description:
•Seeking a system engineer to support customers to deliver both network services support and systems integration that adhere to PCI DSS data requirements and key technical compliance objectives.
•Candidate should have hands-on experience with multiple technologies including networking, wireless networking, Microsoft Server, Active Directory and Linux / Unix systems administration and various virtualization platforms.
•The candidate should also possess strong demonstrative experience with a wide variety of switches, routers, firewalls, and various other network and security technology components across varying vendors and platforms.
•This individual will interface directly with client-side network and technical service delivery teams, external vendors and security compliance personnel.
•This candidate will work as part of a dedicated internal team out of the New York City headquarters and will be required to travel regularly to client sites in the tri-state area (mostly Northern NJ) and periodically throughout the country and abroad.

Responsibilities:
•Interpret, deconstruct and create data network infrastructure diagrams across LAN / WAN and server infrastructure.
•Provide best practice and solutions to complex network and routing issues.
•Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
•Effectively communicate technical status and escalate issues appropriately to both client resources and management.
•Address client needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
•Build effective relationships with client technical teams through trust, superior delivery and quality engagement
•Provide best practice and practical solutions to complex infrastructure issues.
•Adhere to Company and Client level documentation, change management and SDLC policies.

Requirements:
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a system admin or network services role supporting local and/or remote infrastructure across a wide variety of technologies and vendors.
•In depth understanding of network technology ideally in system administration, Active Directory, Linux, networking, firewalls and virtualization technologies.
•Highly competent with Microsoft Windows Server Family of products required. Linux/Unix platforms also desired.
•Experience and working hands-on knowledge of virtualization platforms such as KVM, VMware ESXi, Citrix XEN.
•Ability to develop client facing technical documentation with Microsoft Project and Visio.
•Capability and willingness to adapt to new technologies and gain required skills to continually deliver next generation solutions.
•High degree of capability for troubleshooting complex issues both onsite and remotely with the ability to escalate accordingly to resolve critical issues.
•Strong team player, with the ability to work both independently or with minimal supervision and closely as a cohesive team across 3rd party vendors, business partners and fellow team members.
•Hands-on experience & personal knowledge of Cisco & non-Cisco platforms including Sonicwall, CheckPoint, Watchguard and Juniper products or equivalent required.
•CCNP and/or CCIP Certification favorable but not required.
•Microsoft Certification, including MCITP, MCTS, MCSA, and/or MCSE favorable but not required.
•Security credentials including CISSP, CISA, CISM, PA-QSA, PMP or equivalent security credentials favorable but not required.
