QA Tester / Analyst

Job Overview

Our client in the Summit area of NJ has an excellent opportunity for a Quality Assurance Tester / Analyst!    

 

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to independently review testing requirements and assign tasks to themselves as well as other QA team members.
  • Regularly evaluate the current QA methods, making, and implementing suggestions to improve processes.
  • Schedule meetings with both business teams and development staff to understand system functionality and to properly develop test requirements, plans, and results.
  • Provide final QA approval prior to production release.
  • Complete assigned tasks with moderate supervision, to ensure assigned products and services meet approved specifications and are released according to the production schedules.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts for regression testing.
  • Engage with project managers, business analysts and application developers to test functionality that exercises all critical systems points.
  • Create and maintain project test plans.
  • Review test output and document results including logging and following up on identified problems.
  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems/processes for our customers.
  • Handle multiple projects of varied complexity simultaneously.
  • Provide feedback on suggestions for improving QA procedures to Project Leads and Management.
  • Stay abreast of Quality Assurance testing and automation trends.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 3+ years in software Quality Assurance experience.
  • 3+ years detailing test plans, test cases, tracking defects, reporting status to various levels in the organization.
  • Experience testing within multiple project management methodologies.
  • Experience maintaining / developing SmartBear Test Complete testing tool sets.
  • Experience generating, updating, and running Selenium test scripts.
  • Experience using Workfront to track bugs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding and changing environment; must work well under pressure.
  • Must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and product developers.
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task various responsibilities.
