Server Engineer / Microsoft 365 Administrator

Job Overview
Our client in the Philadelphia area of PA has an excellent opportunity for a Server Engineer / Microsoft 365 Administrator!   


  • Comprehensive designs to address the company’s strategies, evaluate emerging technologies, develop, and implement systems/architectures. Ensure system integrity.
  • Develop activity plans, time and resource estimates, and cost / benefit analyses. Ensure that changes and enhancements are carried out properly and on a timely basis.
  • Works closely with development, network, and support teams in implementation of infrastructure and cloud components.
  • Prepares activity and progress reports for projects.
  • Prepares projections based on current utilization, licensing, and status for various subscription services and contracts.
  • Ensure proper deployment, management, support, and training of existing and new O365 service offerings.
  • Serve as a knowledge expert on Microsoft O365 applications.
  • Administer the O365 Portal and monitor for alerts, status, etc.
  • Respond and resolve incidents and support requests involving the Microsoft O365 suite of products.
  • Provide technology leadership in the management of centralized directories (such as LDAP, AD, AAD) to ensure flexible but granular security levels.
  • Develop, audit, and enforce Information Rights Management (IRM) and Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) policies to protect organizational data.
  • Ensure adherence to established data retention policies (DRP) while ensuring the availability of data for supporting e-Discovery requirements.
  • Recommend and assist in the implementation of security solutions to mitigate or stop potential impacts of Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), malware, SPAM/Phishing across various attack vectors.
  • Develop and facilitate training and documentation for new services or capabilities in Microsoft O365.
  • Stay abreast of changes and new releases to the O365 suite.



  • Experienced and highly technical individual, capable of designing and managing both desktop and server environments.
  • Server and Desktop hardware experience required, with an emphasis on Dell equipment.
  • Experience configuring and supporting current Microsoft product family (Windows 10, Server 2016, Server 2019).
  • 5+ years’ experience with technologies such as Microsoft Office Suite of products, Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, etc.
  • Adept at assisting and establishing Office 365 Governance strategy and plans.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
