UI Engineer

Job Overview

Our client in the Jersey City area of NJ has an excellent opportunity for a UI Engineer! 



  • Work within a cross-functional development team to grow and support large, public-facing web applications.
  • Work with software engineers, UI engineers, and product managers to plan and execute new products, features and improvements.
  • Coding HTML5 / CSS / JavaScript.
  • Creating CSS-based layouts using responsive, semantic, W3C standards-compliant HTML.
  • JavaScript coding using React, as well as jQuery, Angular JS and other frameworks as needed.
  • Contribute to establishment of internal HTML5 / CSS3 / JS development standards.
  • Reviewing and adjusting templates for W3C standards compliance and optimization.
  • Use of CSS preprocessors like LESS, SASS.
  • Implementing SEO requirements into templates.
  • Delivery of standards-compliant Application Template for projects.
  • Troubleshooting of Application Templates.
  • Write full unit testing and automated testing mirroring all development.
  • Author and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with other product teams, ad operations, and vendors as needed.



  • React.
  • HTML5 (hand coded) with examples of applications.
  • XHTML.
  • CSS3.
  • Responsive design coding techniques.
  • Node.js and NPM.
  • High Performance JavaScript (ES6, require.js, common.js, node).
  • JavaScript frameworks (React and jQuery required).
  • Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration.
  • Test driven development.
  • AJAX.
  • Command line Git.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Capable of managing a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Able to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram form.
  • Eager to learn new applications.
  • Work in Linux environment.
  • Knowledge of cookies, including issues such as P3P.
