Job Overview Our client in the Allamuchy area of NJ has an excellent opportunity for a Windows Systems Administrator! Responsibilities: Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and virtualization. Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions. Helps develop, document, communicate, and enforce a server security policy. Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues. Responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization. Future planning for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth. Manages user accounts and assets and assigns and updates security permissions on the network according to security policy and business requirements. Provides support for escalated help desk requests. Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures. Responsible for making recommendations related capacity and storage planning. Requirements: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required. 1-3 years of system administration experience Windows, VMware, and DELL hardware. Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols. Experience with scripting and automation tools.
