Job Overview Our client in the Arlington area of Texas has an excellent opportunity for a Human Resources Specialist! Responsibilities: Provide timely first-line human resource support to managers, employees and external customers regarding functional HR areas including recruitment, employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, policies, and procedures. Create, lead, direct and/or participate in a variety of projects and programs including – salary planning, policy development, training design, workforce design, and workforce planning. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to assigned territory leaders/management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions), and provide HR policy guidance, direction, and adherence. Partner and work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention. Take a true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the “pulse” of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement. Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, including maintaining employee handbook, as well as other policies and procedures manual. Assist in companywide communication messages, including but not limited to, introducing new team members, recognizing, and celebrating work anniversaries, birthdays, or other events, socialize, highlight, and recognize other team members, departments, customers, or share other company success stories. Assist in recruitment and employment processes including requisition requests, sourcing, interviewing, along with regular communication with the management team and new hire during the onboarding process post-offer, creation of new hire agenda, ordering of company equipment, etc. to ensure new hire has a successful start. Assist in the administration of benefits including the annual enrollment process for medical, dental, life, vision, FSA, HSA, short-term & long-term disability insurance including claims resolution, maintaining providers web sites with changes and updates, and communicating benefit costs, trends, and other various reports. Assist in the 401K retirement savings plan discrimination testing and other year-end auditing requirements. Assist in the administration of compensation programs, including research, market studies and trends within assigned territory. Process, verify and maintain documentation relating to disciplinary actions, wage changes, performance evaluations, training, etc. Assist in the payroll management and processing to ensure timely and accurate employee payments. Assist and administer the Performance Management and Development programs. Assist in updating organizational charts and submit to applicable staff when revised. Assist in the coordinate of company sponsored events. Ensure data integrity in the HRIS systems and understand the impacts of the data on our HR reporting. Organize and maintain HR department records and employment files. Make recommendations for HR process improvements. Compile sensitive and confidential personnel statistics and preparing reports. Assist with other HR related special projects when needed. Requirements: Associates degree in Human Resources Management preferred or equivalent work experience in a Human Resources role with a minimum requirement of 2 years. Must have 2-4 years of Human Resources – multi state experience (including New York). Must have considerable knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources Administration, including but not limited to developing & managing Recruitment & Employment Processes, Benefits & Compensation, as well as knowledge of compliance requirements to various state and federal laws as they relate to Human Resources. Experience with various payroll structures. M&A experience preferred, but not required. Must be available to travel up to 40% or as needed. Project and team management/leadership skills and experience. ADP Workforce Now experience preferred, but not required. Must be success-driven and customer-focused. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Good time and project management skills. Strategic and Tactical thinker and multi-tasker. Strengths in problem solving follow up and details. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
