IT Project Manager

Job Overview

Our client in the Secaucus area of NJ has an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager!  You have to be onsite Monday – Thursday. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Scope projects with the business stakeholders.
  • Manage IT projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scope and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
  • Work with Business PMs on cross functional projects and manage/support the IT streams involved.
  • Coordinate with external resources (consultants, third party vendors) involved in projects, when necessary.
  • Work with the VP IT and Development team to build and manage the IT team’s capacity and resource plan.
  • Support the Business PMs with project plans, follow ups, scope changes, timeline, and deliverables.
  • Organize cross functional meetings whenever needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
  • Capture follow-up actions discussed and coordinate with applicable project leads to the status of completing identified actions.
  • Coordinate and help resolve issues during post go-live (Hypercare support).
  • Help to support and roll out intra IT change management tasks as delegated by IT leader including process changes, transitioning roles and responsibilities, knowledge transfers.
  • Support and manage IT related implementations of new tools and applications and coordinate user training.

 

Requirements:

  • A degree in a technical field.
  • 4+ years of working as a PMO or in a technical field that had significant project coordination involved.
  • Experience working on cross functional projects that involved Finance, IT, warehousing, logistics, etc.
  • Familiarity with EDI concepts, ERP systems, warehouse management systems
  • Experienced in using PM tools such as MS Project, Monday.com or others.
  • Well organized with strong attention to details and deadlines.
  • Proven success working with all levels of management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
