IT Support Technician

Job Overview

Our client in the Whippany area of NJ has an excellent HYBRID opportunity for an IT Support Technician!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Take user inquiries and troubleshooting/managing hardware, software, or network problems.
  • Respond to users in a timely manner and escalating more difficult problems to senior team members.
  • Assist in installing, maintaining, and supporting all US workstations / laptops as directed by senior management.
  • Carry out operations reliably in accordance with the agreed schedule to ensure integrity, security and reliability of IT environment is upheld.
  • Assist the vendor management team to assess cyber security risks.
  • Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Assist in maintaining and supporting inventory of IT hardware.
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude, ability to innovate and show own initiative to improve IT services.
  • Assist employees with audio visual related equipment for meetings.
  • Keep Data Center, IDF rooms and support area neat and organized.
  • Order computer equipment and supplies at the direction of senior management.
  • Utilize in-house database to create and/or update Purchase Orders.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Minimum 1 year Supporting Microsoft Technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 Suite or Office 365.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with demonstrated listening and questioning skills.
  • Experience working with Windows 10.
  • Experience working with Windows Server and/or Azure would be advantageous.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when necessary.
  • 10% travel to domestic / international locations is necessary.
  • Willing to work off-hours and weekends when required for projects or emergency support.
