Job Overview Our client in the Fairfield area of NJ has an excellent opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator! This position is 100% onsite with a shift of 7 AM – 3:30 PM. Responsibilities: Maintain a smooth logistic operation by daily coordinating with appropriate parties pick up/deliveries, processing paperwork and order tracking of shipments. Must follow all GMP’s and SOP’s relevant to the position. Sort bills of lading (BOL) from previous day and enter into SAP with pallet count and tracking. This includes keeping up with filing the BOLs by month, year, etc. Ensure all BOLs are signed, dated and stamped. Enter deliveries with pallet count promptly into SAP once paperwork is received from QA. Frequently check ZUD for orders released from credit hold. Check with Customer Service on released orders to see how they are shipped and if they can be shipped. Check with Accounts Receivable to see if orders can be released or re-released if they are asked to be shipped. Coordinate shipment pick up by contacting carriers when orders are released. Enter PRO#’s (tracking) for BOLs provided by trucking companies. Coordinate delivery methods with Customer Service. Work with Customer Service on daily basis and assist with any shipping requests. Assist carriers/customers with any questions they may have on a shipment, operating hours, and any other related inquiries. Process billing of every completed delivery that leaves the building. Coordinate and provide proper documents and invoicing for international customers/shipments (i.e.: NAFTA’s, Pro Forma Invoices, Shipper’s Letter of Instructions, Packing Declaration, customs paperwork, etc.). Present shipping spreadsheet with every shipment to dock employees to ensure proper loading. Work with MRP to bill out any shipments shipped from outside vendors. Provide customers with shipping specs if they are picking up their product via their own carrier. Assist with shipping loose boxes via UPS/FedEx by customer request. Assist truck drivers with pickups, deliveries, and other inquiries. Bill/Invoice all signed bills at the end of the day. Requirements: Must have good general computer knowledge and be able work with the SAP system. Able to safely operate warehouse machines. Computer literate.
