Job Overview Our client in the Bedminster area of NJ has an excellent HYBRID opportunity for a Senior Mobile Applications Developer! Summary: Design, development, testing and publishing of Android and Apple mobile platform applications. Meet with business teams making technology recommendations, translating business requirements into technical specifications. Also manage the Apple and Google store fronts ensuring certificates are upgraded annually and that we are adhering to changes in iOS and Android development best practices and required polices. Lead product decisions, establishing development deadlines with our business partners. Work with junior Mobile development staff training and guiding in best development practices. Fully document the mobile technology stack used for our applications and provide an outline for future scalability. Create an automated testing process to improve regression testing of our mobile applications. Full life cycle mobile application development with Android and Apple APIs. Design, develop and test Android and Apple applications with backend MVC and Web APIs. Work across disciplines with team members from front-end and back-end design. Actively participate in the project management process, providing estimated task durations and related status updates. Troubleshoot and fix system failures and system performance, especially as systems scale and as end user issues occur. Research industry trends, emerging mobile application technologies: Document suggested changes and outline a plan to incorporate within our environment. Stay current on technology and regulatory changes that could impact mobile applications and related deployment platforms. Create and maintain source code written in native languages that will be published to both Android and iOS environments. Regularly participate in group meetings with end users to translate Agile user stories into technical tasks. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline is a plus. Four plus years of Mobile App Development experience. Strong background in technical analysis, project planning, customer support and supervision in a team setting is required. Project management experience. The ability to mentor junior mobile developers. Extensive experience in developing native Android apps using Java and Android SDK. Extensive experience in developing native iOS apps using XCode, Swift and Objective-C. Background in working with/consuming REST and web-based API’s. Proficiency using interfaces and Web APIs in JSON and XML formats. Proficiency with JavaScript, jQuery, Swagger. Experience with Angular or Knockout a plus. Experience with Visual Studio, .NET Core, MVC, C# or VB a huge plus. Demonstrated success in publishing at least one or more apps in the Google play store and Apple Store. Familiarity with GIT (source control). Experience with Agile development methodologies. Effective oral and written communication skills. Work alone as well as with other team members on their application source code. Troubleshoot issues and communicate project/task statuses daily.
